“Deaddish and Elegant” is a visual exploration of how Latin American cultures use humor to cope with death, particularly in societies affected by extreme violence. This project, inspired by Mexican and Colombian sayings, combines photography and video to express resilience and cultural richness. Through vivid representations, we aim to foster cross-cultural dialogue and understanding, especially within Copenhagen’s diverse communities. Our goal is to spark meaningful conversations about humor’s role in navigating difficult experiences, bridging cultures through shared perspectives.
